On the other hand, in the case of India an inefficient system and corrupt law enforcement favors corporations to shift their production to benefit from child labor, low wages and growth of working conditions (Winston 2005, Ross 2010). The Indian government cannot afford to interfere with the operations of these multinational habit brands since there is a chance that these companies may move their production to other competitive countries, like China, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Vietnam, where the laws and regulations are lax (Ross 2010). consort to an estimate provided by United Nations, India employs somewhat 55 million children, under the age of 14 years, and producing around 20% of Indias GDP (Foster 2007). India, along with Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, is part of a low-wage, Big Asia bloc exporters of apparels to the United States and Europe. These countries chronicle for 55 percent of the U.S. import market, which amounts to 95 percent of the U.S. apparel market (Ross 2010). The increasing trend of customers demanding low-cost, high-quality apparel has forced large apparel brands to outsource their production facilities to low-cost countries to stay competitive in cost of pricing, without compromising on profits. Companies such as Gap, Nike, Marks & Spencer, Primark, Next, Mothercare and Wal-Mart have been found involved in the ontogeny of the workforce (Mail Online 2007, Winston 2005, Chamberlain 2010). The management of these large brands lobbies with powerful economic and political forces of their nations to promote imports from lower-cost countries by lifting import quotas on apparel (Winston 2005). Large brands like Gap have been found exploiting the Indian workforce more than once. The branch case of exploitation was discovered in 2007 after which Gap had promised to put in extra private road to rid their factories of forced labor and exploitation. In 2010, however, Gap was again found involved in child-labor and exploitation activities in India (Foster 2007, Chamberlain 2010). Exploitation of workforce is only possible when both parties in an employment contract obtain to the wage levels and working conditions. It is important to appreciate that poverty in India is widespread. According to a study, almost one-half of all children in India are malnourished (Foster 2007). This extreme poverty forces parents, living in poor localities, to either sell their children to contractors for work, in return for a better life and

It should be mentioned that the theoretical framework impart involve police and existence inter guesss, police and nationals strategic interview, historical records, secondary research through the Internet and university database, it will also hold strategic analysis tools for development of the evaluation of the best method between despotic and consensual policing. In this circumstance it should also be mentioned that the purpose of the project is formulated in a mutually right way such that from an academic perspective there would be a huge gain in the context of val uable experience, and simultaneously add value by providing insights as well as a fresh objective bulge outlook on any matter relevant to the social context. Research aspiration will follow the following method or schedule. Firstly the participants will be trained about data collection techniques and tools to be used to collect the relevant information. The participants will be including police officers, data collection officers, team leaders and other resourceful personnel. Secondly the areas to be interviewed will be place and gateibility determined. These areas to be sampled for the research can range from 10-16 of these areas, say 5 will be where imperious policing will be imposed and other five consensual policing can be applied. The limit of the research can take a period of minimum 3 months and a maximum of 6 months of which during this period data will be collected.Thirdly the data so collected will be nimble as a report of findings. It is necessary to design a new experiment that political campaign the statistical method. For the purpose it is necessary to collect a complete data of the site that would include different religion, ethnicity or gender.A n open meeting with police as well as the general mass or public would be very relevant in this context in the initial stages. The mixed gender of male and female Police and public could well be excluded as that would complicate matters in the context of gender variable juxtaposed with other pre mentioned variables alone considering other dependable factors sustaining it would yield to be prolific in the long run. Data would be collected in relation to the gender, color, religion of the potential customers in respect to the composition of the management under the same parameters. All these variables are considered as very relevant and important features of the statistical method and it is to be seen if these aspects are fundamentally acceptable in practical world and it could well be mentioned that social service, especially security service industry, are a very relevant manifestation of the social dimensions. As a result if the strain is carried out in a fitting manner with prop er calculations of the population affect then there is no reason that the results would be twain logical and true at the end consideration. In accordance to the basic test selected it could be stated that it could be possible that the outcome would be relatively logical in the sense that it would ultimately follow the trends of social facilitation theory in marketing and therefore it would be agreeable with the statistical method and thus a well formulated marketing strategy can be constructed for the benefit of the Police and public alike as a definite method can be chosen between coercive and consensual policing. However, it should be stated that there would be few independent variables in the context of the test that could not be explained by the statistical method statements. Here the ethical consideration of the potential Police and public or the ethnic background of the potential Police and public may not be a very relevant factor. Thus there could be some flaws to the colle ction of the population but if these aspects are kept in mind then the shortcomings would easily be negotiated during the ultimate computations. As a result the test would appear to be a full proofed measure that would be able to define and prove the fundamental aspects and statistical method applied. It should be noted that the access to the research participants is two easy and hard. In terms of the public interview it would be relatively easy to identify and access but the difficult part would be to frame the questioner in accordance to the color and doctrine of the participants in general. In case of the police interview there would be more homogenous innovation in terms of the questioner but the difficult part would be to gain access. For the purpose it would be arranged to acquire permission from the hope department. Data will be collected using two different methods. The first will be interviews, which involve citizens, police officers from the sampled areas. This is an adva ntage in that feedback can be obtained instantly. The second will be use of questionnaires, which will be administered to the sampled areas. The questionnaire to be used will be the opened type. The advantage of this method is that the information obtained can be quantified to reflect that the sampled group as part of the entire population. The advantage is that it is easier to analyze data collected through questionnaire method. It should be noted that reliability for the detective was achieved in the assurance that only a specified group of men and women were utilized in take in to the research. That group was focused mostly on customers and retails along with administrative personnel. This gave the research a more focused view of the research goal. The validity was managed as a result of this focus and emphasized in the considerations involved in the data collection, variables, and sampling methods. Privacy and confidentiality methods included assigning numeric and alphabetic co ding to from each one responding questionnaire. This ensured anonymity in regard to the researcher and the subjects of the research process and a thorough qualitative method would be used during data analysis. The basic advantages of qualitative measures are multifold. Firstly, it presents a completely realistic approach that the statistical analysis and numerical data used in research based on duodecimal research cannot provide. Another advantage of qualitative measures is that it is more flexible in nature in terms of collected information interpretation, subsequent analysis and data collection. It also presents a holistic point of view of the investigation. Furthermore this approach of research allows the subjects to be comfortable thus be more accurate as research is carried on in accordance to the subjects own terms. The best statistical method would be to interview long well formulated day to day working procedure at a specific and well selected location. Throughout the proced ure, it should be noticed whether there are specific variables within the testable population or not. These variables would be extremely important while evaluating the basic data in the final stages where the adjustments would be made to the formulated data in accordance to the observations. As a conclusion to the abbreviation of this paper it can always be stated that Qualitative research is a process that includes instructive paradigm under the measures of theoretical assumptions and the entire approach is based on sustainability that is depended on peoples experience in terms of communication. It can also be mentioned that the total approach is based on the fact that reality is created on the social formulations. It can also be mentioned that the basic target of qualitative research is instrumented towards social context under normal circumstances where it would be possible to interpret, decode and render the significances of a phenomenon. The entire process is operational under the parameter of interpretative paradigm that can disparage illusion and share subjectivity under contextualization, authenticity and complexity of the investigation. The characteristic of this type of cancer is that it festers more rapidly and is more likely to spread to other organs inside your body.Starting with any one of the larger breathing tubes, small cell lung cancer grows speedily and at the time of diagnosis attains larger size. Most common cause of lung cancer is cigarette smoking. Small cell lung cancer risk factors include smoking cigarettes, cigars, or pipes now or in the past, word picture to second hand smoke, and video to asbestos or registered nurse. Non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC) is the type found more commonly in non-smokers, but the majority of cases stilloccur in people who have smoked in his or her lifetime. in that location is one broad general cause to lung cancer that is the Constant prolonged introduction and exposure of a variety of carcinogens into the lungs. A carcinogen is any ingr edient that has the potential to cause cancer. One deadly carcinogen is radon gas. Exposure to radon is estimated to be the second leading cause of lung cancer, responsible for an estimated 15,000 to 22,000 lung cancer deaths every category (American Lung Association).Radon is a tasteless, colorless and odorless gas that is produced by decaying uranium and occurs naturally in ground and rocks. Lung cancer can also be caused by occupational exposures, including asbestos, uranium, and coke (an important fuel in the manufacture of iron in smelters, blast furnaces, and foundries). Amongst all of these factors that cause lung cancer, cigarette smoke, with its concoction of highly intemperate carcinogens, inhaled by both smokers and nonsmokers is the foremost cause of lung cancer. In addition to the causing of lung cancer, smoking puts a person in increased risk of the pancreas, kidney, bladder, esophagus, oral cavity, and larynx cancers. Since there is a great association amongst smo king and lung cancer, there is also an increased risk of developing other smoking related cancers. These types of cancers and lung cancer incidences depend initially on the overall lifetime exposure to cigarette smoke, the number of years a person has smoked cigarettes, and the age at which the individual was introduced into cigarette smoking. Now that we know the causes of lung cancer, lets explore the contents of a cigarette. What are the ingredients and chemicals that are manufactured into cigarettes, have you ever wondered? There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes (American Lung Association). When these ingredients are burned, they create more than 4,000 chemicals. At least 50 of these chemicals are cognize to cause cancer, and many are very poisonous. A lot of these chemicals are also found in many consumer products, but these products have warning labels on them. While the public is warned and advised almost the risk of exposure of the poisons in these products, there is no such warning for the toxins in cigarettes. Here are a fewer of the chemicals in tobacco smoke, and other places they are found in Acetone found in peg down polish remover, Ammonia a common household cleaner, Methanol a main component in rocket fuel, Butane used in lighter fluid, and Carbon Monoxide released in car exhaust fumes.Thats dependable a very shortlist of extremely dangerous chemicals that are incorporated into cigarette smoke. Its no surprise that the constant inhalation of these hazardous substances over time can result in a variety of serious wellness problems such as chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, and even chronic diseases. It is detailed and essential to know how smoking causes lung cancer because there is a great relationship between smoking and lung cancer. Your lungs air passages are lined with millions of tiny hairs called cilia. The cilia act like little brooms protecting the air tubes by sweeping dusts, tar, and other foreign materia ls gradually upward, like escalators, until they can be spit out. Every time a blast of tobacco smoke hits these cilia, however, they slow down, and soon stop moving. As a result, the confine tars from the tobacco smoke begin seeping into the cells lining the air tubes. Over time, this constant irritation turns some of the cells cancerous. This transformation usually takes many years. But once it begins, the cancer steadily eats its way deeper into the lung. By the time it is discovered, its usually too late. When cigarette smoke is inhaled, the tissue cells of the lungs are exposed to the host of carcinogens contained in the smoke. Carcinogens have the unique potential to damage and change the DNA of cells in the body. The DNA is responsible for functions including how unfaltering the cells reproduce and grow. Once a cell has been exposed to carcinogens for an extended period of time and the DNA has been affected, the cell can become cancerous. A cancerous cell is defined as any cell in the body whos DNA has been reprogrammed to grow at an accelerated and unstoppable rate. As the affected cells wrap up to grow, they cause the formation of blood vessels to supply the cells with the needed nutrients to continue growing. These cells grow into masses called neoplasms.Eventually these tumors grow to such a size that they begin to crowd out other cells in the lungs. The added mass of the tumor makes it difficult to breathe, which decreases the amount of oxygen being transported throughout the body. Eventually the tumor can become so large that the lungs can no longer function. If a small amount of the tumor manages to break onward and enter the bloodstream, or lymph system, the cancer can spread to other parts of the body. Here the process continues as the cells make new homes in organ tissues, such as the heart, liver or brain. This eventually causes these organs to no longer function over time as well. If you think youre safe middling because you are not a s moker, think again, because youre wrong. Passive smoking, or also known as second hand smoke can also be a risk factor for lung cancer. ventilation in the smoke of others can increase your risk of developing lung cancer. A non-smoker who lives with a smoker has about a 20 percent to 30 percent greater risk of developing lung cancer. Workers who have been exposed to tobacco smoke in the workplace are also more likely to get lung cancer. ill-used smoke involuntarily inhaled by nonsmokers from other peoples cigarettes is classified by the U.S. Environmental guard Agency as a known human carcinogen, responsible for approximately 3,400 lung cancer deaths and 46,000 heart disease deaths in adult nonsmokers annually in the United States (American Lung Association). Smoking by parents is associated with a wide lop of adverse effects in their children as well, including exacerbation of asthma attacks, increased frequency of colds and ear infections, and fulminant infant death syndrome. Sec ondhand smoke causes an estimated 202,000 asthma episodes, 790,000 physician visits for buildup of fluid in the middle ear (or middle ear infection), and 430 sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) cases each year. Nicotine is a very addictive drug, and when its inhaled, cigarette smoke reaches the brain faster than drugs that enter the body intravenously.Smokers not only become physically addicted to nicotine they also connect smoking with many social activities, making smoking an even more difficult habit to break. Quitting smoking often requires multiple attempts. Using counseling or medication alone(predicate) increases the chance of a quit attempt being successful the combination of both is even more effective. Perhaps the best motivation for an individual to quit smoking would be the thought of the serious health complications down the road if smoking is continued. If you stop smoking before a cancer develops, your damaged lung tissue gradually starts to repair itself. No matter what your age or how long youve smoked, quitting may lower your risk of lung cancer and help you live longer. There are some people that will try to show you that the medical establishment is lying to you. They will argue that its not proven that cigarette smoking causes lung cancer, that the statistics have been twisted to make the case against cigarette smoking stronger and worse than it actually is. There are a number of things that doctors and researchers dont yet understand, such as there is no ripening of lung cancer in those people that can smoke for years, whileothers who have never smoked do. There is one thing to keep in mind, risk of developing lung cancer increases due to smoking- this isnt a claim, its a fact. Remember, its never too late to put down that cancer lodge

Those that have experienced eating here know it tastes good and those who have not tried it yet, have heard about it, so it is safe to conclude that they use the technique of ethos as well.Reputation in any restaurant is important because if there is a bad reputation no one will want to eat there Although the food at McDonalds tastes exceptionally good, they are falsely advertising the environment that this restaurant brings about. Therefore various community or institutions are obligated to act in a true way and a breach of the kindred leads to consequences as may be prescribed by the same society and failure to which leads to a public outcry.Take for instance the United States army, the most powerful, rise furnished and best funded military in the globe. The Army has been used to protect the nation from external attack and in previous wars like the world war two it had to assist the rest of Europe against the Hitler aggression. The army is well trained with strong emphasis on the need to refrain from abusing the rights of war prisoners or the very people it has been commissioned to protect. However in some recent wars some military personnel have b een caught by a diligent media subjecting captured enemies to inhuman treatment that have shocked the American people (International committee, 2005). However fourth part disciplinary measures have been undertaken by the military to punish those involved in a bid to deter future abuses. It would be expected that the US army with its military might and radical decisions for intervention would veterinary its recruits well to ensure that those employed do not cause intentional harm to civilians. The Battalion ground in Iraq has revealed a great mistake in the selection of recruits whereby immoral decisions were made to include soldiers who had barbarous records ranging from drug possession, violence and theft. One soldier in particular had an intensive criminal record and in March this year subjected an Iraq woman to inhuman rape. Further more these decisions to include soldiers who are morally big to serve has damaged greatly the image of the soldiers serving in Iraq and has shown a lack of integrity in the leadership of the U S army(Morgan,2008).Works Cited International Committee of the Fourth International World collectivistic US military atrocities and the moral choice facing the American people 1998 as retrieved from http//www. wsws. org/articles/2005/may2005/nyt-m24. shtml on 9th declination 2008 Robin Morgan The Women Media Center Manhood and Moral Waivers2008 as retrieved from http//www. womensmediacenter. com/ex/081706. html on 10th declination 2008

World Trade bombing Essay Example for Free

solid ground Trade bombing EssayThe battle against terrorism has been centered on the Middle East where poll terrorist group Al Qaeda perpetrators of the World Trade bombing has been cultivateed and operated under Osama Bin slosheds leadership. Evidences such as videotapes of Al Qaeda members being trained in the camps as advantageously as reading scriptures from the Quran bind been seen by the public concluding a message that this a group acting in the name of religion, on behalf of Islam and of their God, Allah. Terrorist groups have risen out of contrary events in history where Muslims consistently suffered under the hands of their western conquerors. One of these events is the declaration of the Israeli state displacing a lot of Muslim Palestinians, thus, resulting into a full blown civil war which still occurs today. The alliance of the regent(postnominal) United States with the Israeli Jews and the invasion of the said country to Afghanistan (Osamas home country), and Iraq for oil purposes urged a augur for all Muslims to shinny against the United States and its allies. Allah, the God of Islam, is seen as a god that does not tolerate harm and seen as a leader who is the protector of the oppressed and punish non-believers.Seeing the harms that the war in Israel and in Afghanistan brought to the Muslim, Osama has taken the lead in calling for the Muslim masses to uphold Allahs laws and bout off the injustice deeds of the powerful conquerors. His message boxed the compass kick out the unconnected armies occupying Muslim lands, defend the pure poor from the corrupt rich, upend the high and mighty, inspire youth by ones own selflessnessHis effrontery against the odds acted as a powerful magnet.(Randal, 2005, p. 46) By carrying out the trait of Allah as the warrior of the oppressed people, the message of Osama and the success of the bombings in Lebanon strengthen the aim to form terrorist factions in order to spread Islam and abolish all ki nds of religions. martyrdom The goal of fighting off non-Islamic factions has instilled an visualize of a ruthless oppressor due to the Muslims experience under the hands of western groups that has a completely different judgement from them.As terrorist groups have been established, members be al expressions being reminded about their purpose through indoctrination. leaders of the group would often read the scriptures from the Quran, retells the heroic acts of the Islamic wars and most importantly if they argon to prepare for a felo-de-se mission, the leaders reminds them Allahs will of self-sacrifice and the rewards that awaits them in paradise after death (Bongar, Brown, Beutler, Bongar, Zimbardo, 2007, p. 110).Martyrdom is not a duty to be followed, it is embraced by the members wholeheartedly and waiting for it with anticipation. The act of a felo-de-se attack is a manifestation of the martyrdom. For the Muslim terrorists, achieving martyrdom by means of suicide is a w ay of scrubsing the sins and a form of reward. Mortal life is a life encompassed with sin. From the Christian perspective, people are destined to either go to heaven or to hell depending on the sins that have been pull and repented during his or her mortal life.On the other hand, the Islam teaches that through martyrdom, a sinner canister redeem himself or herself from the sins that have been done. Participating in a suicide mission is a method to reach self-purification and to be clean from all the sins which will make an individual worthy of the eternal paradise (Pedahzur, 2005, p. 37). Aside from the promise of self-redemption, martyrdom is also use to pose as a reward not just the after-life paradise with Allah moreover also for family members of the terrorist. One such reward can include a change in the familys social status (Pedahzur, p.37) where a terrorist coming from the lowest class will be granted a heroic honor for his or her death thus, earning social acceptance and a higher lifestyle from the pile up financial or material compensation. The family of a martyr terrorist is given a certificate of martyrdom which they can show to avail of privileges in buying food, clothing, and gaining access to social events (Reuter Ragg-Kirkby, 2004, p. 45). Martyrdom is encompassed by the Islamic belief system of jihad where the very word has been defined as struggle (Habeck, 2006, p. 4).This definition within the mount of martyrdom can be said that by means of suicide, to momentarily struggle the nuisance of inflicting pain or death to the physical body is the path towards eternal happiness. It is a motivation to conclude psyches life which serves a purpose for the greater good of the Muslim people and for bringing Islam to the nip of political power. The Other Purpose of Suicide Terrorism Aside from the strong ideology provided by religion, terrorist groups opted to carry through suicide attacks be bring on of practical reasons. Suicide Terrorism has basically became a trend in the new millennium when it comes to attacking opponents.Bruce Hoffman (who specialized in terrorism research stated that suicide attacks are low cost, effective, and cause public attraction (cited in Purpura, 2007, p. 56). Since most of the terrorist factions came from the poverty-stricken countries, if an organization is not supported by an fencesitter financer, suicide attack is a priority to use. Most of the bombs that are attached to the suicide cuneus are custom made out of inexpensive materials and to perform a suicide attack, it takes little training since the bomber mixed anonymously with the ordinary citizens (Nikonov, 2007, p.30).Another important aspect of the reference in using suicide attacks, it is because due to the fact that it cost little money and training but it guarantee media coverage (Purpura, p. 56). To be publicized is an essential part so that the group can relay its message to the enemies and at the like time to gain recognit ion. Recognition in a sense that, when a group member committed a suicide attack it legitimizes the group. The death of a member contributes to the sense of legitimacy and dramatic residential district investment in a cause. The message is that there is no going back. Some groups engage in glorification of the act, deliberately hyping a culture of martyrdom lionizing the attacker. This celebrity can be powerfully fetching to potential recruits, and with the suicide often comes greater general attention as well to the motivation for the act. (Linden, 2003, p. 83) last perhaps the most important practical usage of suicide attack is that upon the death of the bomber, it is already a clean break. Just like Hoffman stated that there is no need for an escape plan (Purpura, p. 56) and the study with regards to the terrorist organization is left as a mystery.Impact of Suicide Attack to Society Since most of the suicide attackers are left unknown, some researchers have estimated profile o f suicide bomber. This includes recruits which have an age range from 16-23 years old comprised of mostly single male while female attackers only made up of a small number and normally members come from different social classes, with the educated leading the faction (Bongar, et al. , p. 106). It is a pattern that those who have attained education are the ones who organized the group into trainings and launching terrorist activities. From the preceding discussion, the well-publicized feedback that the suicide terrorism receives entails to induce fear not just to its specific targets but to the whole sector of the community. contrasted the conventional wars of the past, the soldiers are the ones who are assured of being killed but for suicide terrorism, it encapsulates the whole society in danger. The unknown identity of the attackers and the massive casualties it caused make people revel into a never ending insecurity. The need within the structure of the society disappears as any one can be the victim and anyone can be the suspect. agree to Christopher Reuter and Helena Ragg-Kirkby (2004) Suicide attacks affect us profoundly and powerfully. They remind us that there are people who consider their struggle whatever the cause to be more important than their own lives. They annihilate the completed logic of power, since no credible threat can be made against someone who has no desire to survive. (p. 2) This form of terrorism of leaves the society in paralyzed fear with no direction of counter measures to fight against it. It is likened to a battle where one is fully armed however darkness blinded the vision to mighty defeat it.Suicide terrorism does not choose its victims any longer. The main concern refers to how huge it inflicts damage and to convey its power by materializing fear in the form of bloodshed. Perhaps this is the biggest challenge that the modern multiplication may have encounter, the unknown face of terror is one hard to beat.ReferencesBatti n, M. P. (2005). Ending Life.
