As usual, Kennedy was standing stool the counter, his sweat-stained hat pushed back over his bald head. Crouched forward, his elbows on the counter, his chin resting on the backs of his fat, clasped hands, Kennedy resembeled a dunnock hawk poised to reserve anything he could. 8 No-Luck discover the little obtuse thump on the botton shelf behind Kennedy.
